The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is a non-profit and independent organization for the support of a responsible forestry. Strict FSC standards determine what ecological and social standards must be kept for the cultivation of woods. The compliance with these standards is controlled annually by independent auditors. Only after passing the examination is an owner allowed to put the FSC seal on the wood and to commercialize it appropriately.
