Research + Development The special papers made at Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Bielefeld are constantly being tested in the firm’s own laboratories. Chemists and laboratory technicians work daily to optimise existing products in line with new requirements and develop grades based on individual customer specifications.

Product development receives back-up from the scientists who work for the Japanese parent company. In Japan, Mitsubishi Paper Mills runs three research & development laboratories with around 240 highly specialised staff.
