Environment + Quality  The challenge of achieving optimum quality while protecting the environment is what shapes both day-to-day work and fundamental strategic decisions at Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe. As a responsible speciality paper producer, the company has long given special attention to ensuring its paper is manufactured using high quality yet environmental aware production and further processing methods. The energy recovery happens through environmentally friendly combined heat and power generation and the firm’s environmental policies go far beyond national and EU statutes.

The environmental management systems of both the Flensburg and the Bielefeld mill are certified according to ISO 14001. Both sites are certified in accordance to FSC® Chain of Custody - and naturally the whole production is compliant with REACH regulation.

In December 2011, Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe's existing energy management system has been certified as DIN EN 16001 compliant. Furthermore, the entire giroform product range has been awarded the NORDIC SWAN mark, the most demanding ecolabel in the international paper industry.

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe supports both the TWOSIDES campaign and the campaign FICTION AND FACTS of the German Pulp and Paper Association (VDP).
Fiction and Facts

The quality awareness of the company has been reflected in official certification since 1994. All production is monitored by a quality system that is regularly certified in accordance with ISO 9001.
