FM-Silverdot A frequency-modulated screen for maximum image quality with CtP imagesetters: FMSilverdot, Mitsubishi’s new FM screening technology, not only optimises image reproduction, with the combination of FM and classic autotypical screens being possible within a printing form or page – even within an image. The technology uses cross modulation for optimum printing of frequency-modulated screened images and autotypical screen printing of large solids, graphics and screened fonts. The image data are processed using RIP-independent software and converted into screened bitmaps before the PostScript RIP, facilitating problem-free integration in any existing workflow.
